Pakistan Cricket Team completely outplayed Hong Kong on Friday (02nd September ). The Men in Green won the match by 155 runs and the match looked like a mismatched one. Hong Kong batters couldn’t last even 11 overs and were bundled out for relatively 38 runs. Due to such performance, Pakistan Cricket Team would be overjoyed as they not only won the match but made a resounding statement that they also can be ruthless on their day.
Pakistan doesn’t have too much time as their Super 4s match is on Sunday against India. Men in Blue would be eager to once again dominate the terms and eye the 8th title. Babar Azam would be hopeful that he gets back to his form as he is very much pivotal to the team. The Super 4s stage is expected to be a rollicking one as all the 4 teams are evenly matched and none of them will throw the towel.
Pakistan Greats Sikander Bakht & Inzamam-ul-Haq on Ramiz Raja
Sikander Bakht didn’t mince his words as he also referred to Ramiz Raja’s recent remarks over the lack of cricketers in domestic cricket.
“You won’t find the solution until you give chances to new players. No one is asking you to bench 4-5 players straightaway. You rest one player, bring another. You should have an idea about the quality of youngsters. I was very shocked when Ramiz Raja said they can’t make six teams. I don’t even know what he was trying to say there,” Bakht said in a discussion on Geo Super.
“We had 16 teams. Everyone was playing. We have to decentralize the cricket board. You need to bring in new players.”
Inzamam-ul-Haq was also asked the same question by the anchor. “Pakistan’s performance is not an issue. You know if Shaheen isn’t there, there are others who can take over. Regarding the middle-order, I think Ramiz bhai should look into it. I don’t think Babar is a sort of captain who won’t listen to suggestions,” said Inzamam.
“When you select a team, you call the captain and coach and discuss their opinions. The final call rests with the selection committee. Now, Aaqib said, Siku bhai said, and even I have said that Shan should be playing at number four. If there are so many people saying that, and it’s not happening, it’s not right,” Inzamam concluded.

Babar Azam is wary of Pakistan being complacent
Pakistan Cricket Team has a history of not only falling like a pack of cards but getting complacent. The skipper needs to have some serious talks because India will be a much tougher and more nasty opponent than Hong Kong. Their spinners spurned a web where they were pretty good, but Indian batters would have done their homework.
Babar Azam needs to work on the short ball as Indian pacers would once again use that tactic. In the previous encounter of India vs Pakistan, the Men in Blue Pacers bowled short ball barrage where Pakistani batters couldn’t control their shots and in the end, eventually, they got into a shell.
Pakistan batting coach Mohammad Yousuf needs to find a solution as getting a lot of batters on short balls means that they are not well prepared for a steep challenge.
