Fakhar Zaman made his debut in domestic cricket for Abbottabad in 2012. He later moved to Lahore, where he played for the Lahore Eagles and the Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He had a breakthrough year in 2016 when he scored 663 runs in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, the premier domestic first-class cricket competition in Pakistan.

International Career


Fakhar Zaman made his international debut for Pakistan in a T20 match against the West Indies in March 2017. He made his ODI debut against South Africa in June 2017.

In his fourth ODI match, he scored his maiden century against India in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy final, which helped Pakistan win their first-ever ICC Champions Trophy title.

He continued to perform well in limited-overs cricket and was named the player of the series in the 2018 Zimbabwe Tri-series. In July 2018, he became the fastest batsman to reach 1,000 runs in ODI cricket, achieving the milestone in just 18 innings.
