Revealed: Why Jasprit Bumrah Is Not Included In Playing XI For 3rd ODI vs England

Jasprit Bumrah is the leading wicket-taker for India in the ongoing ODI series against England. After picking up his 2nd five-wicket haul, he picked up 2 wickets in the 2nd game.

He has led the Indian pace attack along with Mohammad Shami very effectively. In the 2 games, he has picked up 8 wickets.

Due to his 6-wicket haul in the first game, India was able to bowl out England for their lowest ever ODI total against India.

India then chased down the target within 20 overs by 10 wickets. In the 2nd game, although he could not pick wickets in the powerplay he did pick up a couple of wickets in the end overs.

But in the last, over he bowled, he looked slightly uncomfortable. Even though he clean bowled the last English batter with a Bumrah-special Yorker, he didn’t look comfortable delivering it.

Jasprit Bumrah Looked Uncomfortable In The 2nd ODI

There was a couple of days gap between the 2nd and the 3rd ODI, but it seems Bumrah has still not recovered from the injury he incurred in that game.

Rohit Sharma at the toss revealed that Bumrah is not playing the game.

“Bumrah has a niggle and we don’t want to risk him, so Siraj comes in,” said Sharma at the toss.

India would hope that Mohammad Siraj along with Mohammad Shami can give them a good start with the new ball as India bowls first in the series decider at Manchester.
